Founded in 1976, we are a 3rd generation drainage and civil company based out of Hastings, Hawke’s Bay. Having built up a long and trustworthy reputation working with local councils, developers, and private clients throughout the Bay, Drainways has become a strong force in the region. Specialising in the 3 Water drainage (Stormwater, Wastewater, and Drinking water), we have grown a sizeable fleet and skilled staff base, able to tackle projects of any size and complexity.

In 2019, ground works began at the new Rymans Health Care development in Havelock North, Hawke’s Bay. Drainways secured the contract and began site works and project management in January that year. 5 years later, over 80 houses, and 3 multi-storied buildings have been completed.
3 Waters
Awatoto Water Main
Drainways secured the contracts of the new renewal of the watermain running 3.6km from Meeanee through to Awatoto Napier. The drainage contract included welding over 300 lengths of 180mm and 250mm P.E. pipe.
Development
The New Scania Build
In charge of the drainage, ground and civil works on the new Scania build in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, the Drainways teams worked closely with Tuatara Structures throughout the project. Our teams installed stormwater, wastewater, and water systems, prepped the building foundation, and completed the yard prep.
