Installation of storm water drainage at the new Links Road roundabout including concrete culvert pipes, wing walls, sumps and manholes from 225mm up to 1350mm.
Pressure from the public and the main client to minimise hold ups on the Hawke’s Bay motorway made this a challenging drainage project that was made even more challenging by a week of very ordinary weather. At 1350mm in diameter, these were some of the largest pipes we have worked with, requiring different methods for setting them in place and connecting together.
Having the right equipment on hand helped us stay ahead of the programme from the start. We finished ahead of time, passing all our inspections and pressure tests with flying colours.
